 With the
horrible fires that spread through Victoria, we have had several concerned home
owners asking what solutions are there for shelters. Most fire protection
systems aim to remove people from the building. With the threat of a serious
bushfire, we are looking at a totally different risk.
What
solutions are there for bush fire protection. Well currently there is no
national standard for fire sprinklers providing bush fire protection. There is
an Australian standard for buildings in bush fire prone areas.
We're sure
that there will be recommendations forcing the urgency of resolutions following
the coroners inquiry.
