Design Fire was originally set up as a means of supporting fire services companies. Initially we began simply by providing these companies with accurate and concise detailed design documentation. As our customer base expanded, their needs increased also.
By keeping abreast of developments in the industry, it was important that DesignFire evolved to meet needs.
By developing our skill base, we ensure our customers needs are met with integrity, efficiency, honesty and the professionalism expected.
For over 20 years, DesignFire has been providing expertise to Australian and overseas customers. We shall continue to grow to maintain our prominent position as leaders in our field.
The principal, Steven Kirk has over 40 years experience in the fire industry. With an impeccable history in fire services, contracting, design and administration. Steven consistently utilises his wealth of knowledge to the benefit of DesignFire clients.
With continued education keeping up to date with current fire safety engineering Steven is among the most experienced in the industry. Recent accreditation includes CFSP for NSW.
Our chief designer, Dane Simpson has in depth and expanding knowledge of fire detection, sprinkler and hydrant system design. Dane is also responsible for organising our team of design drafters in-house and external staff as required. Dane is also currently continuing studies to expand on his knowledge of fire safety, fire detection, sprinkler and hydrant system design.
With ongoing internal training and external education programs DesignFire ensures staff are aware of existing building legislation, engineering practices, new trends and technologies within the fire industry. DesignFire incorporates current building code and regulations, trends and best practices at all times.
